Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and EMDR Therapist

I have been working in mental health since 2000 and have been a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist since 2010. I have trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) and I am is also an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Analytical Systems of Psychotherapy ( CBASP) practitioner, trainer and supervisor. Within my practice I also utilise mindfulness skills training.

Since qualifying I have worked with adults who have a range of difficulties including Depression and Affect disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety disorders and also experience with Personality Disorders. I have also worked with clients who have struggled with over eating and weight loss. I have a special interest in working with people with low self-esteem, chronic low mood and those who feel they struggle with interpersonal relationships.

My overall aim when working with Clients is to enable them to understand their difficulties, recognise where and how they can change them and help them learn the skills to move forward.
