After spending many years in hospitality, I moved into teaching 17 years ago which enabled me to train as a young person’s counsellor and I have gained a deep insight into the pressures and issues faced by young people in society.
Since qualifying, I have worked for a number of children and young people’s charities working with many issues including stress, anxiety, bullying, family relationships, bereavement, self-esteem and self-harm.
I am also a therapist for a national charity working with children in foster and adoptive care and I have a keen interest in issues around attachment, trauma and abuse.
I also work with adults/families who may be experiencing issues.
My work with children and young people is very rewarding and I feel privileged to be able to support and offer counselling to this client group who entrust their feelings and emotions during my counselling session.
All sessions are held confidentially and in a dignified and sensitive manner treating everyone with the utmost respect.
